Real Life Real Health Vol 1

I’m starting something new: Behind the Scenes of Real Health in Real Life.

It’s my weekly, no-fluff check-in on how I’m navigating real health in real life.

The wins, the wobbles, and the tools that are actually helping. Quick, to the point, and (hopefully) the kind of email that makes you feel like you’re not doing this alone.

Here’s this week’s Behind the Scenes:

Life lately:
I’ve been home alone for three weeks, and I’m honestly using this time as a little gift to my nervous system. More silence; more space to rest and breathe. Less cooking, less laundry, less “doing.” I know it’s short-lived, so I’m soaking it up while I have it.

My focus this week:
Consistency with meditation. I’ve started using the BrainTap device to help get my body out of the constant fight-or-flight mode it’s been stuck in for about 5 years. My only commitment to myself this week was 1–2 BrainTap sessions daily. I discovered this devise at a biohacking expo 2 years ago and the effects after 1 session were profound so I'm excited to finally bring this into my daily routine. I’ll keep you updated along the way.

Win of the week:
I pulled out my Rainbow 30 whole food tracker again as a quick self check-in to ensure I am hitting a good variety of whole plant foods each week. The goal is 30–50 foods… and I hit 54 with ease. My gut is super happy about this :)

Challenge + what I’m doing about it:
I’ve been slacking on movement the past three weeks. I don’t like working out at home. I thrive on gym sessions, lifting, and group classes. I’m sitting in limbo at the moment because I’m due to fly out again soon (no idea when), so I didn’t want to sign up for a new gym and waste money.

My solution: I signed up for a one-week package at my local hot yoga studio instead of a monthly membership. Simple, flexible, done.

Podcast of the week:
Can Aging Be Reversed - Diary of a CEO with Dr David Sinclair. You can listen here

Why it's worth the listen: David breaks down how and why eating the rainbow matters for longevity & building resilience against disease.

Inside The Health Mastery Academy:
This month inside my monthly membership I’m teaching members how to use Rainbow 30 to hit a variety of 30–50 whole foods per week without overthinking it. It’s much easier than you think and most members are already hitting (or exceeding) 30 within the first week. This is one of the best things you can do for gut health + longevity. If you want to do it with us, it’s not too late. You can join below

Wishing you a fun and restful weekend ahead.

Welcome to Real Health in Real Life. Behind the Scenes of what's working, what's not & what I'm doing about it. Quick, honest, and practical. Life lately:This past week has been a bit crazy. The days are flying by. I look at the clock thinking it’s 10am but suddenly it’s 4pm. Where are the days going!!! Work has been extra stressful and it has felt like a balancing act I have gotten right. The best way I can describe it is this: you know when you shake up a dirty water bottle and everything...

I need to share one of my biggest pet peeves with you as someone who is in the health & wellness industry: It’s this whole idea of “balancing hormones.” If I had a dollar for every time someone said, “My goal is to balance my hormones,” or “My doctor said my symptoms are due to hormonal imbalance,” I would be able to retire today. Here’s the part that gets me: when I ask, “Which hormones?” the answer is usually something like…“I don’t know. Just hormones in general.” Friends, we have 200+...

Every Monday is a new week, a new beginning, a new opportunity to start again. And we don’t do that with perfection, we do it one habit, one choice, one tiny step at a time. This week’s Fresh Start is a big one (and still simple): Fresh Start Habit: Get 25–30g of protein at breakfast Why this matters: Most people start the day carb-heavy without realising it. Oatmeal, Weet-Bix, toast… even “healthy” breakfasts can be mostly starch with very little protein. And when breakfast is mainly carbs,...
